I found this website a few weeks ago while looking for research material for my wife. It has been a great comfort for me and I have found alot of information.

But, about us. My wife Lisa had a Lupus caused major stroke in March of 2005. We are only 2 months into it and it already seems like years. Lisa is 38 years old and has been active all her life. She had a Brain Stem stroke caused by blood clots. All of her right side has been affected, although she is starting to show signs of getting some of that back. Fortunately, she has had her "wits" about her and has made her own decisions about her treatment. Our local hospital told us that there was nothing they could do and the end was near for her. We live in Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic was a option she chose. It was a miracle for her. She is now in a Young Adults Unit of a local nursing home fighting everyday.

I, Butch, am also 38 years old. We have two children ages 19 and 15. They are the pride of her life.

I thought I would start a blog so that I could record my thoughts and feelings of what I am Really going through, not what I am allowing others to see. When I think Lisa is ready to read this, I'll have it for her. I have my good days and my bad days just like her. So far it has been quite an emotional ride and I think this will help.
