day48 09.19.2014 Friday report
Hello and good morning all,
It's 08:04am on a really cool (20°C) saturday, I've not been to the hospital to see grandma for days now, must be a week or so. Mom and my uncle and the hired nurse stays in 24h shifts with her in her 3 patient room.
Grandma is said to be smiling and laughing (or trying to laugh with making noise) more than in the last weeks, which is a really positive sign I believe.
Grandma also stood up in her bed for many times, whilst receiving her daily PT. I believe it's her 9th day in the hospital today and this will go on for another 4 weeks I believe, until grandma can use a walker to walk through the corridors, etc...
Oh I forgot, mom took grandma out on a wheelchair, that was one of the few times she witnessed direct sunlight, outside of any room or building for a long time I believe, since she had her stroke on Aug 2nd...she was smiling to everyone outside mom said. I'd love to take her out to outside on a wheelchair when the time comes, of course I'd prefer to walk beside her like old times...we'll see what happens.
Days at the hospital are more tyring to mom and uncle than the days grandma was at her own house, but it's for the good of grandma and everyone is sacrificing from their lives for her, well I'm not doing much at the moment but still, second hand support is also support, that's the way I think. I feel like a substitute waiting to be called in the game.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone,
Health and happiness to all,
Cheers,
Cagin
