Positives List
○I can eat in bed if I want to
○Someone helps me with all the meds I take around the clock
○Someone makes the bed with fresh soft sheets very often
○I am getting medical treatment at the large teaching hospital for things I suffered from for years and other docs failed to address
○I get transported door to door in comfy van and I usually ride alone and if not then I get to go on a mini ride
○My hope is renewed because I am in therapy. It is outpatient and I had to make it happen for myself because this facility denied me services "because I already walk".
○I have made friends and we share stories,deep feelings,and fun gossip. We advocate for each other. I feel less alone here than when I was surrounded by healthy friends.
○ I can now say I had a stroke without breaking down.
○ I get all free magazines I want to borrow and then pass along. I can read with one eye up close.
○ I feel less of a burden on loved ones and friends
○I am working on feeling less ashamed of having had a stroke and more proud I survived
○I Do Not worry about worldly things so much
○I have some relief from pain sometimes now and can sleep easier sometimes.
○I often receive kindnesses
○My roommate is my sister so I am lucky
○ I can try meds under supervision
○ I am lucky at Bingo
