Sudden change in my life

Six weeks ago I was diagnosed with a women's cancer, two weeks ago I had an operation. Now I am in recovery. Without saying too much it is a cancer many women get, it was the more aggressive strain and the treatment is surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation therapy. At my age it was quite a blow. But I had a good team of surgeons and hopefully all cancer has been dealt with.

The surgery went well according to the chief Gynae Oncology surgeon and he will see me in six months time when he presumed all treatment will have finished. In the meantime I am waiting for a Medical Oncologist to get in touch with me. Waiting, waiting waiting. That takes me back on time to all of the treatment Ray had for various aspects of his stroke journey. Appointments with various doctors, tests and treatment ruled our lives. Now I am in that same holding pattern and by myself that is a big deal.

Not going into further details dear friends but when you have time say a little prayer for me - for patience, for endurance, for healing for me and for the skills of the doctors and nurses I will encounter on my forward journey. I know a lot of you know how much this can cast a shadow over your life and I want to walk in sunshine while I can
