Valentines Day Eve
Hey, if we can call the day before Christmas Eve, then Feb 13 is the eve of Valentines day.
Nothing significant to relate, just bored and wanted something to do, I do enjoy reading other's blogs and seeing how others have commented on them. Interesting insight into a person's personality!
It has been cold outside lately, when we had near spring-like temps at the end of January. Hubby has been stoking the wood burning stove most all day lately...it gets so hot I can hardly breathe. This morning it was 90 degrees in the living room where the stove and tv are. This computer is downstairs where it's a more comfortable 68 degrees. My cats love the warmth from the woodstove. It is good for my hubby to have it warm because he has no body fat anymore. Me, on the other hand am mostly body fat anymore. so, I suffer with the heat.
I'm really trying not complain, but let's get real...a constant temp of 85-90 degrees is too much. It's so hard to know how to dress for the day, if I'm inside I need a short sleeve blouse, if I"m going anywhere other than our house, I need to wear a sweater...so, really, what am I supposed to do? yeah, I know wear a short sleeve blouse with a sweater over it, but that's not always comfortable or possible.
So, back to the subject, do I have what I need to showw my valentine how I feel about him? Since I"m not working, nor is he, there is no money coming into this home, I am settling on a card for him.
The news people are saying things like on average a man will spend $140 on his gal, and a woman will spend $70 on her guy. I'm wondering on what do they spend the money? Flowers are pricy this time of the year...supply and demand. Then there's the candy. Jewelry is always nice but who can afford anything?
