Just rambling on

Rob made the drive home yesterday - 125 miles all by himself. He brought me a rose, and was grinning ear to ear! Last night after that drive I could tell he was tired. I'm not sure why he does this, but it seems he gets overtired - can't guage himself - to voluntarily take a nap. I sometimes have to point out to him that he seems tired. How he asks, do I know he is tired? Easily, by the way he talks. Seems his facial and tongue muscles get tired, and he has a much harder time pronouncing words. I know he realizes it, but for some reason doesn't always make the connection. I actually end up smiling when he is talking because he is just butchering so many words. I lose track of what he is saying, and seem more intent on how he is talking.... then I have to ask him to repeat himself - and around it goes. To improve his speech he reads the newspaper to me out loud in the car while I'm driving. Every once in a while a word comes out, that I don't understand and we'll laugh.

Rolly doesn't have speech problems, but he does frequently get tired. He usually will just go off and take a nap on his own.

The one he has trouble with is when he gets tired he often gets snappy at me. He doesn't seem to make the connection between getting tired and getting groucy!

Oops, okay Susan I am guilty of the same.... I definately don't mean to snap, don't even realize it...Happens when I get tired or to much information coming at me to fast..... CPU (processor gone awry)...
