Seeing the wheelchair people today. They may give me a free indoor outdoor electric wheelchair, freedom. Though my husband thought I couldn't, I can do the back door so I can get to shops etc. Poor people on the pavement if I get it. If they say no must pay for one somehow, would be good to have one. Lovely day again, I might take a book outside after carers come - life has to reolve around their 3 daily visits for toileting but its great I can make do between them.

Arrggh my eyes are so itchy. They somehow got infected Friday, I got eye drops for them but driving me mad. Mustn't touch!

No exciting milestones, slows down after a while. Then they seem to come in a rush. Like buses, need 1 but wait then several at once. Definitely have been some, I'm so different to 6 months ago.

Last night did my daily 20 minute stand. I use a standing frame at home, 1 person enough to help me at physio. Pleased with my efforts, can bend and straighten my knees while standing, did that. Made myself carry on after I wanted to stop, I want to build my muscles back up.

Veggie,

You probably already know the trick about having a three foot rope tied to the door knob to help you open the door from a wheelchair when the door is swinging in towards you, but I'm mentioning on the slight change that you don't.

Thanks for starting a blog. I think my husband will appreciate me reading some of your entries to him as not many here blog about life in a chair.

LOL I use anything to hand, used a coathanger cos near and did the job! Grabber comes in useful for the numerous things I drop, may know it as a helping hand.

HI - even though I'll never be the same as before my stroke, all the exercises you are doing are GREAT

Keep up the god work & I would recommend a lapbelt if you use your scooter - SAFETY FIRST - I know as I was flipped over on one and broke my collar bone [OUCH]
