A month has nearly passed by
Well where do I start. Quite a few things seem to have happened in the last few weeks. Nothing bad mostly good things. I will work in ascending order...the most current are uppermost in my mind.
My oldest son is 18 next week. 18 is a big birthday here in the uk, known colloquially as coming of age, an adult. It used to be 21, that birthday is still special. Now it seems it is an excuse to have two celebrations. Any way son1 has decided to have a party :out_of_here:
We have hired a hall, ordered the sandwiches, cake and balloons. Hired the DJ. :music_band: Bought the birthday banners, streamers, :music_dj: :yay: more ballons, more food, chicken drumsticks, sausage rolls, cookies and danish pastries. Now need the drink :cocktail: :cocktail:
He has invited 60 people. :groupwave: :groupwave: Not sure if I know how to control 60 drunk 16-18 yr olds. The ones inside dont worry me it is the ones that try and get in who are not invited. I dont think son2 will be happy to act as doorman all night. It is just as well he doesnt have a party every year. My nerves and bank balance would not cope. I am sure it will be alright on the night. I hope it is memorable for all the right reasons.
I have changed my shifts at work. I am now working 2.5 days a week. Which in some ways is better then working 4 hours each day. Now I dont need to go in everyday. I am hoping it will give me more time to do things, tho it is tiring working all day. It will be one more challenge. I count my blessing everday that I can do as much as I can.
I went across to Norway wth hubby after the new year. It was a good few days, I had a good rest. We went across on the ferry as he wanted to take the car. I quite enjoyed the ferry, it wasnt too rough. It was tiring on the legs trying to stay upright. If your balance is compromised to begin with walking on a swaying boat is not a good idea. A good excuse to stay sitting down.! Norway was very wet and expensive. It was good to get home.
Thats my update
Take care everyone
Mary
