Rough Couple Days
I'm having a few rough days, nothing I won't get over....
Had a very Nice Thanksgiving. All the bakind done ahead of time and no last minute rushing.
Bill had asked to go with us... :) His mom and step-dad went on to Laura's, Bear's moms.
So we had Bill all ThanksGiving Day and he spent the night. A great time for all 3 of us, catching up and just special quality time with a 14 year old...
Novemeber 26th is a day of remembering and reflection for me. My son Aaron died when he was 6... this is his birthday and he would have been 41. So I g et through the day.. and it is ok.. and life goes on and I am thankful for the gift of my daughter, step-children and grandchildre. I am Thankful to watch them grow. and always ask Aaron to watch over them.
I cooked a 12 lb turkey for us on Sunday. So left overs. and made Turkey tetrazzini yesterday. I made one for Tracy's family .. and 3 small ones. (one for each of our employees) and of course one for us. Tracy and Bear had Dr appointments yesterday. Tracy's post op went well and bear's check up also. So they have turkey tetrazzini for tonight.
The CPS and my right shoulder have been acting up.. it is getting cold, so that could be a factor. Last night was the first night I slep most of the night through, not waking up in pain. So maybe a few nights rest is what I need.
John's business has been a little slow this month, and I know he is stressing.. so of course I do too.
I keep trying to put my concerns in God's hands, but it is hard to let go...completely. I am trying, and He always comes thru..
There is a poem .. I will try to find. about giving your worries to God, but you have to let go...
It is chilly and some snow and or freezing rain predicted for the weekend, but today is a beautiful sunny day.. maybe i just needed some sun..lol
On a Happy/Funny note.
Bill LOVES my cooking.. I taught his mom to cook, and she has MY recipes.... but he said Grandma, can you tell mom what you do, I said honey, she has all my recipes and I taught her to cook, so it should be the same.. lol maybe she needs a little more "dash" of love in it.
I posted a photo of John (grandpa) and Bill in the Gallery
most of you know he is 14 wears a 17 shoe, is 6'5" and 227 lbs. He is on the High School Football team, he went to the football dinner and received an engraved key chain for not missing any practice or games. He will be starting track and other sports in the Spring.
