My worms learned to swim...that's all
Well, I didn't catch anything. My worm learned to swim with a hook in it's body.
My husband caught a nice size (14 inches) Brook Trout and then caught two smaller rainbow trout (about 8 inches each).
At the second site we went to I tried my hand at casting with a rooster tail lure. I caught a lot of grass and moss. I poked my finger once with the hook. OW Good thing I'm not on Coumadin.
The weather was beautiful and had a relaxing time with Hubby. The bugs weren't out yet, either so it was really nice. We brought the trout back to freeze.
The big drawback about our trailer on the river is that there is no running water so no toilet nor shower. We haul our own water in in 5 gallon containers. Plus, the bed there isn't very comfortable so it will be great to sleep in my own bed tonight.
Today Hubby freed the remaining worms he'd bought. He dumped them out on the ground and within minutes they had all dissappeared into the soil... Probably their first experience of dirt since they had been 'grown' in captivity.
Hubby and I sort of talked about retirement. Fun to dream!
Now, to shower and rest up from the weekend.
