HostAsha Posted February 17, 2009 hey Wes: I loved your Hall mark card idea. I would buy your funny ones for my anniversary. you know how I view my stroke anniversary. I celebrate as my valentine's day. that day I realized power of my soulmate's love & I am thankful for getting this chance to show & appreciate my family that day. Asha Quote Link to comment
dstraugh Posted February 18, 2009 Wes, I absolutely LOVED your Hallmark wannabe's. I was taking a drink as I read them; my keyboard needed immediate cleaning lol My official "anniversary" is New Year's Day though my symptoms (though not typical stroke symptoms) started New Year's Eve. A the 1 year mark by daughter and I both held our breaths just waiting. This past New Years was my 4th. We don't throw huge parties or anything but look at it as a day of reflection and appreciation that I'm still here and don't need the “Through space and time, our spirits float; but today marks the day you missed the boat!” card. paula block Posted February 18, 2009 Gene, you are so very twisted! I sure do miss that wicked sense of humor. Thank you for blogging, its so nice to keep up with you (not that anyone in our family could) I wish that I had just a drop of your ability to put your thoughts into words, you get that from mom I guess. You are an amazing big brother. Quote Link to comment
naomih Posted February 18, 2009 WOW! Man, you are good! Since you thought of it, why not create it? [ha] I think you are right on about recognizing those anniversaries and a fun way would be the way to go! Not celebrating the occasion but remembering where you have come from and celebrating LIFE! Paula,is right...guess some of us are a bit twisted! I love your blogs and I love you too! Mom Quote Link to comment
Middle Heldenbrand Posted February 18, 2009 That's my Dad, all right. I LOVE this entry Dad, and I love that you still have that twisted sense of humor. Let me know when you catch your big break with Hallmark! Quote Link to comment
harriet rankin Posted February 18, 2009 You could call August 29th your own "personal holiday". I'm having visions of that picture you posted lounging in your backyard. Remember? Winter in California? Sigh!!! Cookout in your own backyard sounds like a heavenly way to commemorate, give thanks, and celebrate all rolled up in one. Invite as few or as many as you want. Lots of people love you, you know, me included. Quote Link to comment
still have my love Posted February 18, 2009 This is the man I met fell in love with and married. Your twisted humor and the love you find for me. (you had to be twisted to find love for me). Love you baby, but really do you know how rich we would be right now if we put you on the market. Love rich we already are. Quote Link to comment
