jjohnson Posted March 15, 2009 Although things are not perfect Because of trial or pain Continue in thanksgiving Do not begin to blame Even when the times are hard Fierce winds are bound to blow God is forever able Hold on to what you know Imagine life without His love Joy would cease to be Keep thanking Him for all the things Love imparts to thee Move out of "Camp Complaining" No weapon that is known On earth can yield the power Praise can do alone Quit looking at the future Redeem the time at hand Start every day with worship To "thank" is a command Until we see Him coming Victorious in the sky We'll run the race with gratitude Xalting God most high Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but... Z ion waits in glory...where none are ever sad! "I AM Too blessed to be stressed!" The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen. Your Friend, Jesus Quote Link to comment
naomih Posted March 15, 2009 Good Morning, I know you wrote this last night but it will be morning before you read it. You know, it just could be one of your meds that makes you feel tired all the time. Check with your doc. Hopefully the vacation you have planned will help too. Getting away from it all for awhile and being able to look at other things to temporarily give you something else to see and do. I know your problem will be going with you but still perhaps it will help! Hope you have a good day.....I know I will! Got to go finish getting ready to leave for church! Talk to you tonight. Love you! Mom Quote Link to comment
Mema Posted March 15, 2009 Good Morning, Wes, The feeling of tiredness is normal and should start to get better soon. In the beginning, I wanted to sleep all the time, but I don't have the problem anymore. I can't remember when it changed, but I think it was about my one year mark. I still like to nap in the afternoon, but I have always done that. Enjoy your trip. My daughter has been there and says it is an interesting place. I think your Mom is right - you need a change of scenery. Vi Quote Link to comment
dstraugh Posted March 15, 2009 Wes, For my first year I thought I was asleep more than awake. After that it did ease up though there are days when I could just sleep. You would not be sleepy if your body did not need it. With the week you had at work, your brain is probably tired as well. Do check with your doc though to see if one of your medications could be causing the fatigue. I was at a function yesterday where I was gone from home for 8 hours. I'm super tired today as I'm not usually out and about for that long of a time. I was praised though by my nephew's mother-in-law for my progress since she first met me in 2007 and my outlook of trying to focus on how far I've come since the stroke not to where i still want to be. harriet rankin Posted March 15, 2009 I feel for ya, brother. Rest when you can. Your body is working really hard and needs it or you wouldn't be tired. I've been fighting some nasty bug for weeks now and would give my eyeteeth to rest, but with Sarah and the kids here and no end in sight, I'm beat and about to lose my mind! Quote Link to comment
stessie Posted March 16, 2009 You'll be amazed when you hit the one year mark...you'll realize you are not so tired all the time. I had incredible energy prior to my stroke and I'm almost at the two-year mark. I can honestly say I'm back to about 85 percent which makes me happy (and proud). Quote Link to comment
