fking Posted June 27, 2009 Your blog caught my attention with "Bowling", at first I thought you knew of the professional bowler in NJ who had a stroke named Mark Roth, a hall of Famer for sure. That's so nice she gets a chance to bowl no matter the condition or age of any person the sport is great. I loved every minute of it until my stroke. I sponsored the same league here in Killeen before my stroke at one of the centers. They get such a kick out of doing something together and getting their own ball after the league is over. I gave out the balls with the retractable handles and other 6 or 8 lb balls to most of them able to hold the ball. Using the ramps were fun to them. Some were even in wheel chairs and we had ramps for the chairs. We gave out trophies for most pin and high scores by age groups. She will remember bowling for years to come. Now that I'm retired I may be able to see her bowl if I can come your way soon. Quote Link to comment
merichsen Posted June 28, 2009 Yolie, Looking forward to seeing pictures of Tootie bowling. While you're at it see if you can get a shot of the tooth fairy. Been trying to nab that character for years but she's quicker and quieter than Santa and haven't been able to do it. :Scratch-Head: Maria :mwah: Quote Link to comment
Elondie Posted June 28, 2009 Asha, we took a few pictures of toothless Tootie; I put the best pose in the gallery  Fred; I applaud you for previously forming a league for special needs children. It speaks volumes to your work ethic and compassion for people. I never considered bowling but discovered it is the perfect sport for our 100+ degree weather. All the children appeared to be having a great time. Fred, I would love to schedule a meet; just send me a PM Maria, I wish I knew where to find that fairy. I can always use the money and since my teeth are big now, one would hope I could get more than a quarter :giggle: I Quote Link to comment
dstraugh Posted June 30, 2009 Yolie, Your lil girl is growing up losing her first tooth. I bet the bowling is precious to watch. Quote Link to comment
merichsen Posted June 30, 2009 Yolie, I see you did catch one of a fairy princess and a very beautiful one too. My younger one just got his braces off-would be nice if the tooth fairy left enough to cover straightening the replacements too. :giggle: but it is worth it when they're done. Quote Link to comment
