Where would you suggest i start? I had a Stroke 3 years ago. No cause ever found as i had no risk factors. It was a isemic type (spell check) ... Lost my Balance, speech, affected my whole right side of body. Had 8 week OT, PT Speech therapies at home one release from Hospital and rehab at a nursings home . Insurance would not let me go to a rehab facility. After 8 weeks of therapy at home , i had 8 weeks outpatient at a rehab center for OT, PT and Speech. Then i had a friend take me back to gym, (was a big gym person) and work with me. Very happy to say that i am doing real good. Went from help on walker to, walker , to cane to walking .. Speech is pretty much back with a little garbling especially when tired or if i try to speak to fast. Am back to gym, cross-country skiing , snow shoeing and hope to start down hill skiing etc. I still bike and am real lucky and want to help and encourage others.

Hi, it's always nice to hear success stories from someone who has had a stroke. Thank you for wanting to share it with our membership. You are very inspirational. You should start in the Newbie Introductions forum.
