We are so lucky, I guess, not to have any lockdowns except for the very beginning of the pandemic. Glad you had mother's day eventually. 💚👑
  2. Hope you do get the funding Heather. I've just had my plan review. The lady made me feel all kinds of stupid and disabled. Good thing my support coordinator is awesome. 💚👑
  3. Sitting with the cat on your lap sounds perfect 💚👑

Sorry...thanks for your kind thoughts. Not having power was no fun. Very grateful though, all we lost was food. Northampton and Kalbarri not so lucky. Friends in Three Springs lost their shearing shed. Unfortunately I'm on the Geraldton Noticeboard on Facebook. One person might say, oh it's terrible having no power. They would be bombarded with negative comments about counting themselves lucky they still have a house etc. I feel that having a stroke, and knowing that people are worse off, doesn't help. We all have individual crosses to bear, and the cyclone was no different. The government gave out money to assist. The complaining people did about others being greedy. Well we applied and received $400. We had to totally restock our fridge and freezer. All the fighting and arguments left me quite depressed. But we survived. 💚👑
  5. Awesome Heather! I literally have just been on the phone with my OT, we've been discussing what else is needed to make things easier for me. You, like me, have realised just how much we have 'managed ' on our own...but at the detriment to stamina! Hope the snorkelling happens! 💚👑

    Cyclone

Thank you. We are all very much looking forward to the rain aspect! We've had side effects of cyclones, but haven't been hit since 1979. I was 7, and don't remember it at all! 💚👑

    "Darls"

Glad you had a lovely visit. I feel for you; missing Ray must be an everyday thing, but particular days/times would bring certain memories forward again. We do make our own happiness, all the best with that. 💚👑

A cyclone is headed straight for my town. We are an extremely windy city normally, but I have to admit, I'm frightened. 💚👑
  9. You are right Heather. Even two minutes a day will help. It's tea time here, so I'll start tomorrow!! 💚👑

    Anniversary

Happiest of anniversaries to you and Deb! Glad you had a lovely day! My mother in law always says it's just another day. I think it's what you make it. That lovely breakfast is a great way to celebrate a very special occasion! 💚👑

    Lucy

Riley is eating by herself again, thank goodness. She's still sleeping in her basket next to my side of the bed. I think we both love that! We have discovered life without Lucy is possible, different, but possible. 💚👑
  12. The east coast has had the worst 18 months ever. It's totally unfathomable how people go on, rebuild and start again. So glad you and yours are all safe Sue. You can pray for WA to have rain if you like! 💚👑
  13. Tracy Thank you for trusting us with your story. When I say HUGS, I don't mean the quick almost touching but not quite type, I mean the type where no one wants to let go, and where strong arms make you feel safe, like everything is going to be ok. Your analogy was amazing, I really think you nailed it. Love you long time, my beautiful friend 💚💚

    Lucy

Thank you so much ladies. I think the suddenness of it all is what shocked us all. Riley, the puppy, is grieving terribly. I had to hand feed her her dinner tonight. We also have her sleeping inside now. The pets have been great, they understand our sadness. My eyes are still sore from crying. 💚💚
  15. Glad the evaluation went well Dave. Looking forward to hearing more of your progress 💚👑
  16. Still no rain, Heather. Starting to cool down (we've had a few days over 40 though) and rain hopefully April... Sue, have you been caught in the floods? 💚👑
  17. Oooh! Bella knew all along that she had found home! She obviously needed to convince you...bet that wasn't hard!! Any updates on surgeries? Love you, my gorgeous friend! 💜💜💜😉😘 💚👑

    Lucy

Our beautiful staffy x kelpie, Lucy, has gone to heaven. She was 13 1/2. Last week she was playing with the puppy and cried out in pain. We took her to the vet, who felt Lucy had broken her leg. Lucy was sedated for X-ray and bone cancer was discovered. Because they didn't want her to wake up to the pain of a broken leg, we had to say goodbye to her while she was sedated. The kids don't remember not having Lucy. She was a sweet girl, who was always there for us all. Sadness just doesn't quite cover it.
  19. Oh Paul. The relationship is the first thing that begins to struggle under any pressure. So not fair. Canberra is not fun! The signage is terrible! We did however get a great sense of Australian spirit at the war memorial, where we found the names of our ancestors. If you can remember, tell Linda you love her every night at bed time. Remind her of why it's worth the struggle. 💚👑
  20. Awesome George! I hope Deigh sees the tip about soaking your hand to warm it up! Having the 'travel bug' bite at the moment is hard, especially for the really good reasons why Lesley wants to travel. Have fun watching the buildings go up! 💚👑
  21. Oh LG...thinking of you at this very difficult time. You are both free from the pain 💚👑
  22. Awesome! Margaret river and surrounds are beautiful! We are 8ish hours north of Margaret River...we went there on our honeymoon 💚👑
  23. God is quite possibly speaking to you... It can take a while for those of us feeling vulnerable to open our ears and hearts enough to hear him. Keep asking, you'll get an answer. Just be prepared for the answer to be different to what you are hoping for. 💚👑
