    Back To "Normal"

  6. Fred: thanks for sharing wonderful blog with us. I spent my first few years thinking why me, & felt miserable, but when focus shifted to why not me, life became wonderful again. I am actually grateful for this experience in my life at that point in my life. I am glad your first day went well. soon you will be back in groove. Asha

  10. hey Sue: I pray your computer woes get over soon, we miss you around here. I loved Kristen's comments. I never had dreamt of our retirement years yet maybe because I was still in my 30s. but now that I am retired, I am actually enjoying my retirement years. I often feel very blessed to be still around and able to do as much as I am. after my stroke I learnt one thing, don't take a single day for granted & enjoy each day as it comes good, bad or ugly.   11. hey Naomi: loved your blog, even though I know first hand I don't have control over anything except my reaction to situation, I still forget and try to control the situation. I find reading blogs very helpful. It makes me realize my mistakes. Asha

  15. Wes: even though I am younger than you but in my stroke recovery journey I am senior to you. I will give you two fold advice & since it is so hard to give then receive. I think it is natural to play what if games post stroke but that game will drive you crazy, frustrated & angry. once you accept that our body which is marvelous machine failed us. but you are still here & still can make best out of your years ahead. I know there is still beautiful post stroke life. as time will go on you will refine & define new you and as far as I know you, I love new you already. Asha

My son is soon going to b teen, and every time I get frustrated with him I remind myself this shall pass too. we are always here if you want to vent anytime. Asha

    A Day of Rest

    hey Wes: I want my hubby to read this post just to realize he should show some enthuisms to my wacky ideas of having fun like going to NYC just for fun. panning for gems sounds like fun idea, now you have things to look forward to till March 15th. we always make family vacations out of hubby & my previous work trips. I m sure this trip will turn out to be fun. travelling alone with just one hand will be challenging but you will get so much out of it, if you do it. Asha

I sometime agonize over my choices in life, I guess that indicates I still lack faith on God. life will go on wven with wrong choices & we will correct our mistakes if wrong choice were made. so true. along with Wes's blog I am becoming fan of your blog too now.   24. hey Jeannie: exercise & pushing envelope tad bit further is important in stroke recovery. I just celebrated my 5 year anniversary & I know I have come quite far from where I started my journey few years back. I love spring, soon daffodils will b blooming in our frontyard Asha

    All is Well

    Wes: whoever thought routine was boring never had stroke enter in his life. I am glad life is getting back to normal, bike ride with friends and family sounds wonderful, you better not overdo it or else you will get grounded by mom. have fun on your mini vacation. Asha
