    Finding Balance

hey Leah: reading your blog gives me complex that I m such a lazy bum. I guess nothing changed there I think only thing different for me is previosly I worked outside home. now I work for my recovery and do only that. I think you need to stop comparing your new life to everybody including old leah. just do what you can do & be proud that you are able to do that & how far you have come. Asha
  2. Jan: I adore your blogs not only they r therupetic to you. reading your blogs inspires me. I didn't know you were native american. but from your blogs will learn more about it. I love eastern & nstive philosophy. Asha

    I'm hopeful

Marie: thhat's what is important, that he is happy and doing right things in his life. I am sure you will be grandma soon. I think as a parent we worry too much. I know I do & forget that I m just his caretaker for little while and he has his own destiny. Asha
  16. Bart: I understand your feelings I still don't have handicapped placard cause I don't consider myself handicapped or disabled. I consider myself differently abled Asha
  17. Wes: you have great family & they all love you so much. I am happy that you can start going full time & have great boss. I went part time for a few months & then decided to quit since for me driving 75 miles on highway was too much of a risk since I do have minor vision loss. I felt if I won't be able to perform then I will be first to get layoff & loose my disability benefits. so for me stay at home mom path who volunteers at drop of hat works best since my kido is still very young. I am sure if you try chat few times you will be pro Asha
  18. hey George: thanks for update. BTW Asha named Indian woman are always beautiful ask my hubby . have you watched slumdog millionare. it's very good movie too. India is really beautiful, but still has lot of poverty. when hubby decides to retire we might go back to India and do community service though I don't think it is fit for disabled person like me anymore. Asha

I don't like to drive in night. so I drive only local roads & prefer daytimes only. night I will drive if I have been to that place before. you will feel just little different after your full fledge driving, and those days r right in the corner Asha

    My son got engaged

wow marie: congratulations. did he meet girl on cruise? I pray that your family feud get resolved soon. Asha
  22. hey wes: hope I did not offend you in my comment. I thought in the begining that you were doing whyme thingy & later realized you were going through all the nemotions a survivor goes through in a day. I truly think people who stick around the board and blog are mostly people who are moving on with their life & rebuilding their life post stroke. I used to tell myself surviving stroke is not for sissies. you need strong heart to come out of this obstacle as thriving survivor. I am happy that you are able to do that. I still regret not being able to go back to work, but my circumstances are different. I was not breadwinner of the house. my stroke provided me opportunity to be stay at home mom who gets paid. So I am enjoying my rock star mom life right now. I m sorry if I offended you in any way Asha
