    The truth hurts

Doug: I agree with Maria. I feel from your blogs you are spending too much time on analyzing "& proving to your parents how yor brother was wrong. how would that help you in moving on with your life. I too am looking forward to hearing from you about Teddy's adventures. Asha
  5. Gary: thanks for the update on Kyle I am waiting for the day Kyle updates us himself about his trials & tribulations. sounds like great books I will put hold on them in our librRY. aSHA
  6. Donna: I was so saddened to find out your mother's wishes but I think she must have wrote what is good for her dog at that time. Again I will just remind you trust in him & his plan for you. hy her wishes her lifelong companion wil be with her. & they both will be watching over you & your family. Asha
  7. Donna: I am truly sorry for what you have gone through last week.It was quite sudden. & please don't beat yourself up with unessential guilt trip. you would have stayed there had you known. God acts mysterious way. she decided not to tell you. I am not wise enough to give emotional support. but I know this for sure it was in your destiny to move to eastcoast for God's plan to work. so surrender to him. & let him run and plan your life. I was happy you were able to tell your mom about your love and she was able to reciprocate too. I am sure your mom will be very happy when Angel move in with you guys. I wish you lot of stength for coming weeks. Asha

  11. hey Elondie: I will keep Tootie in my prayers for outgrowing her seizures. I used to be anxious about depression medicine too but they were lifesaver for me. it reduced my anxiety & crying. after being on them for couple of years I weaned myself off them. just wanted to tell you there is nothing wrong with these medicines if they are helping. but being gurdian angels of Tootie you need to keep eye on it's reaction on Tootie. I hope and pray you find solutions to all Tootie's problems. Asha

  19. Katrina: I am so happy for all good things in your life. trust me chiclet(I loved what Maria called you). you still lhave ots of blessings in your life. I am true believer in things happen for a reason & for a good reason. if you will view your disability that way then stroke won't feel that bad. BTW one more secret life is full of roller coaster rides, there will be good days and bad days. when bad days do come. start counting your blessings, and you will feel great. volunteering at the rec is great ide areaching out to people is another step in becoming thriving survivor. Asha
  20. Sue: awww I already miss you. but I am sure you will be having great respite break to charge you up again. I always wonder how can anyone get relaxion from gardening. I get tired just thinking about work associated with it. My mom likes to harvest her herbs & vegetables in the garden. no flowers what good are they eh if you can't use them in food. have a great time in your 2 mini vacations. Asha

I will now have to raise my bar and walk some more:). at 38 I still complain I don't have best girlfriend. but I think I will also listen to Ann now in building friendship. so proud of you Katrina and please don't stop blogging. we love to hear about you & you never know whose life you are touching by writing these blogs. Asha

    kicking bees

Sue: your frugal way of living should be learnt my most of the americans and europeans who live way beyond their means and now this huge economic crisis. hubby and I both were raised in India by consious frugal parents. so we both have same values about our spending habits. when I see so many foreclosures and economy crisis. I thank my stars that we always lived on one salary and saved other's while I was working. so we did not have any monetary tension when I lost my job due to stroke. I love your friend's attitude. she is pretty good in accepting the way things are and what is important in life. Asha Asha
  25. George: your atory about Mike brought tears to my eyes. I am going to quote Jerry White again first step in becoming thriving survivor is to face the facts it does not matter how hard it is. once you do that next step is to choose life. you can't sit at home feeling sorry for yourself start participating in life or life will go past us. I am sure your friend Mike realized this and will start participating in things which give him joy. I always get amaed by lot of things you are able to achieve pot stroke but realize I can do lot of other things I bet some of you can't do. I will be looking forward to your fishing trips with Mike. I am sure your attitude will encourage him about great things in life post stroke. Asha
