    Stroke survivor!

hi Jeanie: welcome to wonderful world of blogging. I have been blogging more than 2 years and I find it highly therupetic. In past all of us bloggers have done 100 things about me that way rest of gang can know you better. we had givn our intro, shared our joys and sorrows here, and I call it all my blogs as my chicken soup for my soul. hope you feel better soon, and start drinking this chicken soup. Asha
  5. George: I liked your theory. have you sent your theory to NASA and they might look into it. I can't wait to read your views on how to solve other problems in life. you are indeed intelligent man. I am glad because of this site I got to know you better. No wonder you have had two successful marriages. Asha
  6. Sue: take it easy super wonderwoman. lucky you got Trev to order you to bed, but listen to your body too. It's telling you to give her rest, cleaning sure can wait. I think you need my eyes who don't notice anything in the house unless I trip over. and by no means my house is not clean. It's beautiful house where I don't sweat the small stuff, lkike cleaning of cobwebs on ceiling, who looks up when they come to your house. Asha
  7. Mel: thanks for updating us about your life, your pity party. I just want to tell you one thing, I wish I am closer to you, but anyhows atleast I am online 24X7 and you can PM me anytime you want friend to talk to or just hang out. About your husband's infidality during your stroke phase is really bad. but how about forgiving him for what he did and move on, that will bring lot of peace within you. trust issue is hard one but if you two have decided to stick with each other, then you have to forgive him and trust him. Iam sorry I don't have any wise words other than sending you lots of virtual hugs. Asha
  8. Doug: that's wonderful news. It's amazing to see you have talent with which you can get job. good luck, I hope everything works out for you and Teddy. Asha

Just yesterday I figured out how to carry backpack with 1 hand and was so happy. I don't know how you do it everyday. you should maybe take less classes which you can handle without affecting your grade. I am so proud of your achievements. good days and bad days go hand in hand, just remember that things are going to change bad or good nothing is permanant. Asha
  10. Sue: I always love reading your blogs and this one is no exception, you are so right we still do have lot of blessings in our life with some added post stroke woes. Asha

    Counting down to D'day

Stu: you are going to have great time at cruise trust me on that. It is great you guys are planning so much in advance, but also remember if you miss anything or things don't go your way think of one line "is it inconvience or disaster", and you will enjoy every moment in your vacation. Asha
  16. hey lady_k : welcome back I was wondering where you disappeared, now know you are busy going to handsome doctors, hope your bottom is good looking. I am looking forward to spring and global warming. Asha
  17. Tascha: its great that you are trying to tapered off from your antidepression pill, and taking control of your weight issue. I too lost weight when I got off my antidepression pill, and ofcourse excising is good thing for our paralysed bodies. I read in stroksmart magazin, doig exercise 3 days in a week can reduce your risk of getting diabetes and other diseases. so you go girl. Asha
  18. Sue: great blog, I am young stroke survivor and have seen my mom suffer while caregiving for dad in his last years of alzamier, we kind of almost lost her after dad passe away. I have been telling my husband shoot me if something bad happens to me, I better make my living will, I vale quality of life rather than just life, I am sure none of us wants to be burden on our family. if given choice, I would wish my family to remember me independent personality than dependent on others for my basic needs. Asha

    Peace and Quiet

Donna: I am so happy for your housepests leaving before deadline, atleast that will give you peace of mind going in surgery. I am sure it's hard to quit smoking but as I often told you before you can do this, you are survivor, woman, mother. you have that strength within you to get through this, maybe you can chew gum when you feel like smoking or come online to chat with us. I promised to talk topics other than smoking Asha

hey Kristi: thank god you blogged or this auntie of yours would have come with blogstick after you. I am so happy for you both your houseguests finally left. it was stressing your mom out, and it's high time your cousin becomes responsible adult. I am sure your mom's surgery will be fine she will do just great lot of people still needs her and she still needs to see results of raising you so well in so many adversities. so you also don't worry. I am sure your uncle loves you very much maybe not showing as he used to do when you were 5, if he does show his affection that way people will might view him as crazy guy. I bet he is under lot of pressure due to his own not doing so well kids. Asha
